"Oh my goodness - we stayed at Tropical Winds for Speed Week 2009. Of course we didn't spend lots of time in the hotel, but it was a great place to sleep at night, wake up, have breakfast in the nice little restrauant and everyone was so pleasant. We will stay again. Really - in Florida we just want a nice clean, safe place to stay right on the beach and this is the best we have found. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!"

"We had a block of 6 rooms for the weekend during the summer and had a blast. It was really nice having a full refrigerator and stove as well. The kids loved the pools, especially the indoor one. Beach was very accessible as well. Staff was courteous and seemed to always be working. rooms were clean. Overall, a really nice experience. Not over the top with luxury, but exactly what you need to have a great time."

Right on the beach, could not ask for a better location. This hotel was no high class, nor was it a slum... exactly what a down home family neesd for a wekk get away at a decent price. I will be back..

"We just returned home yesterday after a wonderful weekend at Tropical Winds, It was our 25th wedding anniversary and we had an awesome time. This was our 3rd stay at Tropical Winds and we will certainly return again. This has to be the cleanest and most efficient place to stay in Daytona. The entire staff is top notch, I have NO complaints at all. If you are reading this and looking for a place to stay , Tropical Winds is your place. Love the cafe! You don't even have to pay for their kindness, It was a fabulous get a way! Keep up the GREAT work Tropical Winds & God Bless you all!!!! (we were on the 8th floor , I didn't get the housekeepers name, but she was the best, very friendly and our room was spotless! smelled good too!"

"Year after year the Tropical Winds of Daytona Beach is always the best place. Staff are always friendly, this is our 5th time at this hotel, we try a lot of hotels in daytona but nothing equal the TW. Clean hotel, Renovated rooms, Best location (Not too far from downtown and quiet) Best prices, and best food. Restaurant is great and now Franz open 4 to 7 pm (try his chicken wings there great) This years we spend 16 nights and again... we never come bakc home..... Best place for family, couple and firends!"

"i stayed here at the tropical winds hotel back in May 2009 and again had a wonderful stay. the room i had was perfect with the kitchen. Gwen is always so accomadating at the front desk.The housekeeping staff were so courteous and the room was always cleaned to perfection. I just love this hotel and this was my 3rd stay there. I always make this my hotel when i visit Daytona Beach. I love the cafe with Franz and Billy. they always make you feel welcome and service is always with a smile and Franz always has a cute joke to go with your breakfast. We had a party of 12 family and friends staying and the hotel was great,to the manager your staff are fantastic you should give then a rise they deserve it , lady behind the desk was super and the lads at lunch and breakfast were funny to (that will be Frank the lady killer ) our aunt has not been the same since you old smoothie. Anyway great time had by all will be back. Will recomend you to others."

"I found Tropical Winds on the internet at the last minute. Let me tell you, I was thrilled at my choice. I like a room with a kitchen and the one I got was lovely. I remodeled hotel, but what nice touches. I had marble countertop in kitchen and bath. The kitchen was complete with stainless steel pans, a nice selection of cooking utensils... everything I needed to cook delicious meals during my stay. Oh... the shower was heaven. Thanks for a wonderful escape. I hope to be back."

"We stayed at your hotel on a fluke... we drove from Missouri to Florida in 1 1/2 days we arrived in daytona beach at 4am my husband was exhausted.. We put the address of the hotel we were supposed to stay at in the gps and it did not take us to the right location.. we ended up in a empty lot on the wrong side of street.. soo needless to say with 2 cranky teenagers a very cranky driver and a mom trying to keep peace we looked for he first clean hotel we could find and we landed on Tropical Winds doorstep.. Brian your night attendent was amazing and soo very sweet.. he got me our rooms quickly and we looked at nothing we all crashed.. the next day we awoke to a beautiful sunny beach wonderful ocean sounds.. and laughter filled swimming pool.. the hotel was much better then where we had planned on staying.. it was also 1/2 the price , which gave us more spending money also not to mention perfect location on the strip of Atlantic Dr. I just want to let all future travelers know this hotel is perfect for the money, clean beds, nice staff, clean pools, and awesome location for doing anything you want from bar hopping to shopping to carnival rides... I can tell you this I will be back and I wont even need to look up hotels .. cause I will always be staying at Tropical Winds and telling all my friends to do the same... Tropical Winds you have a customer for life.
