whether you stay by the pool, or stroll along the ocean. from the first greeting from Gwen to our last day there everything was great.was our second time there in mid-may and we loved it so much that we are returning in late December,whether you like to cook or go out to restaurants, the choice is yours as there is a fully equipped kitchen with utensils, they always make sure we have a direct oceanview, great staff,never have any complaints."

"Hey, what a great 14 days we spend at the tropical winds... This is the place you have to stay in Daytona for the most courteous staff, they're very friendly. There rooms are cleans, the hotel is clean, the pool too. Try the pool side café on the hotel, Frank and Billy cook the best food for a little price (they closed at 2 pm) the vue from the room on the beach is very beautifull! You never want to go home after your stay...
Si vous êtes Canadiens ou du Québec, demandez la manager Christine elle est d'une aide exemplaire, (parle uniquement en anglais) Cet hotel est tranquile, propre et les employé(e)s sont vraiment gentils. L'hotel est située aux limites de Ormond Beach dans un coin tranquile et la plage n'est pas remplie d'autos donc vous aurez la paix! Le Pool Side Café est le restaurant de l'hotel et Frank le propriétaire ainsi que son fils Billy vont vous faire les meilleurs déjeuners pour la moitié du prix d'un restaurant! Essayez leurs omelettes ou leurs shortstacks (crêpes) vous ne le regretterez pas! La vue de l'hotel est sublime sur la mer!

"We are from Florida and moved to Tennessee in 1989. We have stayed in many hotels on the beach, but the last two times we've stayed at this hotel and we have been so satisfied. When our family comes over they welcome them with open arms. The staff can't do enough. We've been coming every two years and we are thinking about making it a yearly trip now.
Everything they say on their web page is true. Family environment where you feel comfortable. Easy access to stores and eating places.

"Myself & several other women were planning a trip to the LPGA. We decided this year to spend two days in Daytona & relax instead ogf driving home after the Tournament.
We chose the Tropical Winds sight unseen. What a wonderful place! We arrrived early & were promtly greeted by Gwen Smart ,who had a quick wit & a winning personality that never wavered durng our stay.She helped us with directions , places to go ,got us into our room a little early & greeted us with her winning smile when ever we were in the lobby. The cafe was wonderful- homade food great service! The housekeeping are also to be commended. We'll be back next year-Hope all the wonderful staff are still there!"

"we stayed at tropical winds this past summer and loved it .the rooms were nice ,the staff friendly,especially the older man who worked in the dining room ,he made you feel at home.we were within a very short walk to the board walk but far enough away that it was quiet and there wasn,t a lot of people crowding the beach.It,s a smaller hotel and i felt safe letting my 15 year olds walk around the hotel and pool alone.We look forward to coming back this summer."

We agree the staff is great, and we love the size of the rooms.. We always of course, get a balcony facing the ocean.. beautiful veiw. We also enjoy the restaurant that is right in the hotel, the gentlement who runs it, is great.
This year is extra special, as my dad just finished his last chemo treatment.. and this is our way to celebrate..

"My husband and I visited Daytona when we were dating. As a young couple on a budget, we drove around to find the best deal we could. Tropical Winds was extremely affordable . It was VERY neat, clean and well-maintained. The indoor pool was nice when it rained, Our room upstairs was easily accessible and very nice for the price. And every room had a balony witha fantastic view! We even had a little fridge to keep our drinks and stuff in. We enjoyed the great beach access and also the wonderful little place downstairs, where we ordered breakfast every morning. I definitely recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a great time and a great deal."

I was in town for a charity bicycle ride to raise funds the the Multiple Sclerosis Society. This was the first time staying at this Hotel, but it will not be the last! The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, the view fantastic, the pools wonderful...everything just perfect for my needs. I appreciate security cameras in the hallways. Overall...just a fantastic three night stay. Thanks!"
